We've been busy for the last two weekends at our Sewing From Scratch Course!
Our students were excited to make those lovely make up bags! While sewing those they learned about print matching, zip insertion and lining.
They also had a go at a cushion cover in their first lesson, during which I introduced them to sewing basics, such as threading and working the sewing machine and learning to control it.
A nice functional tote bag with side depth panels and a magnet was a great learning experience. It introduced our students to finishing of fraying seams, making a facing and turning sharp corners. The result was great and everybody had lots of fun!
